Does University of Michigan look at senior year grades at all when they review your application? If so, which semesters? Also, do they see a different class rank than other schools since they don't include freshman year grades? Thanks.

If you send your transcript after the first quarter, obviously they will see them. If you get deferred, they will want more information on you (aka your 1st semester grades). So in that case they will also see them. If your transcript is sent in before your first quarter grades and you get accepted, then they won't see them.

Furthermore, even admitted students must submit their senior year's grades. Michigan will send high schools a request for the final grades of all admitted seniors . If an admitted student should finish senior year with a significant drop in grades, the university can ask the student for a written reason for the drop in grades and could even go as far as placing the student on probation before ever setting foot on campus.

Alright, thanks.
