I am in LSA Honors right now. My advisor told me that the engineering school knows I "cannot do math, physics/chemistry and engineering 100/101 in one semester each semester," and thus told me I don't need engineering 100/101. I am taking a language instead. Is this wise if I am considering transferring into engineering next year? Am I limiting myself to LSA/Business/etc by skipping ENGR 101? I definitely want to graduate in 4 years, so I don't want to waste time making up prerequisites. Just want some clarification. Thanks.

Why don't you ask the engineering department? ENGR 100/101 are prerequisite for most (if not all) engineering departments before you can declare. Besides, ENGR 101 is likely to be a prerequisite for your first engineering course...

Why can't you "do math, physics/chemistry and engineering 100/101 in one semester each semester"?

I second the question: Why can't you "do math, physics/chemistry and engineering 100/101 in one semester each semester"?

According to Freshman Son, when they went to schedule classes at orientation, Engineer majors were told they were going to take a calculus, a chemistry, an Engineering and a Humanities class. And that is exactly what he is taking.
