question about engineering

is the engineering program in UCI really that bad as i have heard? would it be a good idea to go to UCI for 2 years and transferring to UCB or UCLA or should i go to UCSB

if you are thinking about transfering to UCLA or UCB you should go through CC instead because they get first priority.

but is undergraduate really that important when getting a good job later on or is graduate school more important. do uci engineering major people get good jobs after graduating

yes, all UC graduates get good jobs but the best ones usually go to the top people at the high level UC engineering schools (UCB, UCLA and UCSD). And graduate school will be more important for jobs if you decide to continue after getting a B.S. Don't worry about not being able to find a job. UCI is a good engineering school.

thanks so would it be a good idea to go to uci for undergraduate and the top tier schools for graduate?

yeah it would be a good idea, i'm planning the same thing but i'm going through a different school

UCI undergrate engineering is good not bad. Eventhought it's not the caliber of UCB. For example, my division manager went to UCI for undergraduate and MIT for graduate school. He is good that the company also sent him for Harvard Executive MBA.
