I go to a Jewish school and have a dual curriculum (Judaic subjects/secular subjects), so on my report card my GPA reflects both. I know for a fact that colleges completely disregard the Judaic grades, so I want to figure out my weighted /4.0 GPA with only the secular subjects. My grades are in number form (like /100). How would I do this? All of the GPA calculators online tell me different things. Is there a formula that I can use?

Usually, it goes like this.

C-minus = 1.7
C = 2.0
C+ = 2.3
B- = 2.7
B = 3.0
B+ = 3.3
A- = 3.7***
A = 4.0

*** Some schools may not have A-minuses, like mine. They just jump straight from a 3.3 at a B+ (which could be like 89.9%) to a 4.0 at an A (90.0% or higher).

As for how to convert percentages into letter grades, in my school, it’s different for every teacher and class, and it definitely differs among different schools.

Usually, 80%-82% = B-, 83% to 86% = B, 87% to 90% = B+. Repeat for every other letter.
