Question about financial aid

Hi!

I've been accepted to Drexel and also to their Honors program. In the letter, they said that being in the Honors program (Drexel Scholars) will give me a scholarship of $19,500. "As an A. J. Drexel Scholar, you will receive an academic scholarship in the amount of $19,500 [every year]."
So, I have a question:
Is this $19,500 taken out of the Expected Family Contribution, or is it just subtracted from the normal cost and the family has to pay the other $10,000?

Thanks very much!

infinitelygreen: Your tuition will be reduced by $19,500. You have to maintain at least a 3.0 GPA to continue receiving scholarship. So, you will be commuting?

I am so sad that I just recieved a dean's scholarship with 13.5k.
I still need to pay around 30k/year. This is going to kill my parents!

Yeah, same for me. I emailed them about my financial problem, but they still hasn't replied me yet. The letter said : it is for a few qualified students, but it seems like they offered for too many students, isn't it?
Actually i want to go there, because it has good Computer Science\Engineering program though

Have your parents help YOU to get a student loan. I recommend Chase Select.

We got this for my son and daughter. The process was not difficult and I haven't had any problems.
