Question about GE's

So as a transfer student that completed IGETC, I have all my GE's done so all I have left to do is the upper-division major courses. Now, is there ANY benefit then (besides taking more units which might help financial aid) to take random courses that have "GE Status: Not a GE course ", but yet still give units?

Meaning, I have 60 transferred units from my CC, so will I need any "extra" units that I need to take to get a degree besides the upper-division courses? I have no idea how to read this damn DPR...

Any benefit? No, not particualrly. If you’re interested in a course just take it. You’ll need a minimum # of upper division units to take so I would be cautious about taking some lower division courses. As far as financial aid - it doesn’t matter as long as you’re a full-time student. Just make sure you have the adequate # of upper-division units by the time you graduate.

What’s your major?
