Question About GPA (has something to do with Financial Aid)

Hello,

So recently Winter Quarter 2015 has concluded and my grades were posted. However this quarter I did not do so well, but did receive an A in one of my classes but had to drop one and got a D in another class I have taken. Now my GPA for this quarter was 1.86.

However I am taking a Graphic Design Degree Course classes but the class I received an D in is not a required class that is listed in the AFA Degree Plan. (was listed in the old AFA Degree Plan) but since it was revised it is now removed. I also receive Financial Aid to go to college because its to expensive for me to go out of pocket.

So my ultimate question is, am I looking at a Financial Aid probation period or something of that sort? Unless that particular class does not count since it was not listed as a required class in the AFA Degree Plan. Thanks if anyone can help, I hate to not be able to finish my degree because I did not so good in this one class.

****I feel I might need to fillout a reinstatement form because of this, maybe.

Each college has its own criteria for meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress. You need to contact your school.

The course will count, even if it’s not on your academic plan. Definitely contact your school’s financial aid office to find out what may happen.
