Question about grades.

Will colleges look at final averages on transcripts or each individual grade for each term?

Example: Say in Honors Algebra 2 I get an 85 first term, 90 second term, 95 third term, and 88 fourth term. That would average to about a 90 for that class I believe. How would colleges look at this? The 90 average or each individual grade?

Also, do they not consider grades and just look at overall high school GPA?

They look at your final grade per course.

So they never see your quarter grades? Also isn't that kind of bad for kids who work really hard and get A's. Then people who don't get A's can get like B+'s and then it rounds to an A. Also what about semester exams?

they see semester grades which is usually quarter 1 + quarter 2 + midterm and quarter 3 + quarter 4 + final exam (averaged together) but still, it depends on what your school sends on the transcript
