I often times see people post questions on various forums addressing whether a certain amount of B's or c's will affect there chances for a given school. At my school grades are recorded on our transcript for quater 1,2,3,4, our semester average, our final exam, and our overall (final) grade. When people are referring to x amount of b's being allowed, would this pertain to all recorded grades or just the final grade? I know for instance that while all my final grades are A's I have various b's scattered througout the other catergories, will these hurt me as much as getting it for a final grade? Thanks!

They're talking about the grades that the colleges will see. If your transcript shows all quarter grades, then you should include those. If they only show semester grades, quarter grades of a b won't be counted.
