<p>I was accepted into the Gabelli School of Business and the Honors program; does this mean that I'm into the Global Business Honors Program that is detailed on the website? It sounds like a great program and I just wanted to clarify that it is the only "Honors program" in the Gabelli School. Thanks!</p>
<p>Not seeing your paperwork, I would surmise the answer to be YES. Gabelli only has the one Global Honors Business Program. The Freshman Honors program is in Fordham College at Rose Hill, which is a different undergraduate school on the same campus. And it is liberal arts, not business. </p>

<p>Would invitation to the honor program (for liberal arts students at Rose Hill) come with the admissions packet or would that come separately? Are students who receive the Merit Finalist scholarship generally admitted into the honors program or are there different things considered when making that determination?</p>

<p>I think the Freshman Honors Program invite comes separately. Its generally 25 kids, and very limited. Don’t fret. If you dont get in then there are program honors in several departments after Freshmen year grades are in…by invititation of the faculty. Its not as prestigious, but also very strong and your transcript is marked accordingly. Fordham ranks its students.</p>
<p>My son got acceptance letter today with some merit scholarship. But no Honors program.
I find that strange. He only applied to Fordham because they were sending him bunch of emails and offering him free application. They send him a prelimenary admission letter first week of February. His stats are way over Fordham’s average. Just find the admission decisions this year for all schools really strange!</p>
<p>My daughter got admitted EA way back in December, and she received a separate letter in early March saying she was selected for the Rose Hill Honors Program. The letter says only 40 incoming freshman are offered this each year.</p>
<p>My son was admitted EA in December 2009 to Gabelli (CBA at the time). He was invited to join the Global Business Honor’s Program in March 2010, which definitely bumped Fordham to the top of his list. My daughter was accepted EA to Lincoln Center in December 2011 and was invited to join the Lincoln Center Honor’s Program in late January of this year.</p>
