Do they make any exceptions to their rules? I am asking because I am very very very borderline. I greatly exceed the test score requirement but do not have the necessary UC GPA because it is nearly impossible for anyone in our school to satisfy it given the courses. My regular GPA satisfies their requirement but my UC does not because I am not given credit for the honors classes that I took. In addition, I cannot take the other approach because I'm in the top 4% of my class and not 3%. Should I go ahead and submit the essay anyway and discuss this with them later? I have clearly shown I am capable of handling the honors work given that I've taken the most challenging schedule at my school including 6 APs and 1 honors class right now /w a bunch of ECs. Anyone know what I should do? Thanks.

theyre really strict about the 3% rule

you can always apply after fall quarter. whether you get in now or after fall doesnt matter because freshman will enroll in their classes during orientation.

I also talked to someone in the office about this. They said that if i enrolled in certain clusters I'd get honors credit even if i wasn't in honors. That kinda doesn't make sense. Anyone know anything about this?

you get honors credit which you can later apply to honors graduation requirements provided you get accepted into the program later.

So basically if I get accepted winter quarter I'll get credit? BTW what exactly is the difference in between honors and normal?

gah im the worst person to ask today.

honors gets you priority enrollment and notation for graduation. you take extra courses to satisfy honors requirements.
