According to my housing assignment, I got Leach hall. I was wondering how the bathrooms are? I read the information on the assignment (it said it was suite style, semi-private), but I’m still a bit foggy. Are we to provide our own toilet paper and cleaning like the Cuarto suites? I couldn’t find anything on the housing website to clear this up.

And on a side question… Who can give me experience about living in Leach hall?

I don’t know much about Leach Hall, but I am of the opinion that it isn’t very good… The hallways are outside, the set up makes it hard to meet people, and the buildings feel rather old. Did you get Leach because you wanted a single? Honestly, if I were you I would try to get into a Tercero triple somewhere (maybe they’re doubles this year?); I lived in Laben and those buildings are practically 4-star hotels. Having roommates can be trying at times but anyone I know who lived in Leach didn’t like it.

I mean it really is up to personal opinion, but I honestly just could not imagine wanting to live in Leach over the brand new Tercero buildings. Wall Hall probably being the best.

After much debate, I did opt for a single. I know all the obvious downsides everyone says about it: antisocial, quiet, etc. It simply fits my lifestyle better. But I didn’t expect to get a single. I’m not a very picky person on living spaces. I know how the new Tercero buildings are all nice (orientation dorm). But I still wanted to chance a single. I could never even bare the idea of living in a triple; I’m far too much of an introvert for that. If I would have gotten a double I would have been quite satisfied as well, but not having a roommate outweighed it because I’m personally not a socialite. I prefer to be alone in my private times, as it’s the only way I can truly get things done. I’m not ANTIsocial; I won’t hesitate to talk to anyone who strikes up conversation with me. I know college is all about getting out there on your own and experiencing life as a college student, but for sure I wanted to opt for a double next year after I fully transition.

In terms of the bathroom, you will share with around three other people. I think you can get toilet paper from the Tercero Student Center or whatever its called. I know my friend in Primero Grove was able to get toilet paper from the Segundo place.
