Question about mail post-acceptance

Lol so I have a question about getting mail, and I'm too cowardly to ask it on the FB page.

If you're in the group, you'll know there's a post about receiving a holiday card, and some people commented that they have been receiving emails and GU stuff since they've gotten their acceptance.

I was just wondering.. do you think that's just for people who have paid their deposit already? Or are other people getting stuff too? All I've received since getting my letter is a congratulations email, a phone call, and the holiday card. I'm not ungrateful.. but if everyone else is getting stuff, I might be interested in something too .

Sorry, this is a really dumb question, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who's interested in knowing.

No, the Christmas card is from the officer that admitted you. It’s handwritten and everyone gets it (if the officer does that, I guess). I didn’t send my deposit until April and got /tons/ of mail after my decision, including the card.

*Didn’t actually read your post. I think I remember Georgetown sending a card too, but I also got a card from my officer. You’d probably have that by now if they did it.

REGARDLESS, no mail is restricted to people who sent deposits.

@malaise What kind of phone call did you get?

The Admissions Officers Program (GAAP) calls every accepted EA student, or at least rings every one. I don’t know about RD.

^yeah, that’s the one. “Congratulations on getting in, etcetc, I’m a student, do you have any questions?” That sort of call.

Thank you for your response! I guess I was being a little paranoid I was missing out. Still haven’t gotten anything by snail or electronic mail, but fingers crossed for the future.

should i be concerned if i didn’t get a call? i checked call history on all of our phones…for the last 2 weeks…and i haven’t gotten any out of state numbers.
