Question about majors...

I really want to study media and communication, but I'm not sure what exactly I wish to do in that field.
I have lots of experiences working at T.V. Station, Film Festival and some other companies during high school years.
I know NYU has Film&Television major (Tisch) , but they have communication study and journalism as well. These three belongs to three different colleges, so I can't just say undecided.

What's the difference and which one is better for me according to my experiences?

Or which one is easier to get in?

Thanks & Merry X'mas to everyone =)))

You could look into applying to Gallatin, where you create your own concentration and can take classes in several different schools.

I think, though I’m not sure, that it’s the most difficult (ie pretty much impossible) to transfer into Tisch from anywhere, but I don’t know if transferring between the other colleges is easier.

this is my exact problem. i’m stuck between the steinhardt major, or ccreating a new program at gallatin
good luck :)

Well I’ve always heard Gallatin is pretty flexible; so say you eventually decide that the Steinhardt communications major is what you want, but you weren’t able to do the internal transfer, you can pretty much create a concentration at Gallatin that best mirrors that Steinhardt communications major… but it’d probably revolve around something specifically (as per the Gallatin senior colloquium requirement).

i’m an MCC major in Steinhardt, and we’re allowed to take journalism classes and classes in Tisch as part of our major requirements. i’m taking a tv course next semester.

Thank you so much everyone !

I think Gallatin would be a good fit for me. But is it really hard to get in there??
