QUESTION: If I wanted to do something biological/science-y in college, would it be bad to send in this test's scores to colleges because my science score was so much lower than the other sections? Or would it really not matter that much?

I'm still a junior, and this was my first time taking it, so I still have a lot of time. I'm definitely taking it again, in february probably, but I really like this time's scores sans the science section.

If you take an SAT II science that's related to your intended major (like take the Bio SAT II if you want to major in Biology) and do well on that, I think colleges would put more weight on the SAT II score and ignore your Science ACT score because the Science ACT section can be pretty random sometimes (I got a 25 the first time and thought I totally failed it the second time around, but got a 31 instead O_O) and doesn't really reflect your abilities in a particular scientific field.

I guess what I'm saying is don't stress out over your science ACT score because yoru composite is super high and there are definitely other ways to show colleges that you are great at science.

I think they'll be more interested in your composite and your math score, since science isn't really about science. Plus the SAT I doesn't even have science, so it wouldn't be fair if the science score specifically hurt you (since kids who only take the SAT don't even have a chance to be hurt by a bad science score).

If you search this forum, you'll find several threads about how to tackle the science section. They have some excellent tips.
