<p>Most post offices aren’t open then. But since postmarks generally aren’t applied anymore, simply go buy an e-stamp earlier in the day with the date you need on it. Even if you toss it in the mailbox after the last collection or even the next day, it’ll still have the correct date on it and will be accepted.</p>

<p>Ah! Post offices rarely mark the exact time things come in, just the date. Your receipt should have the exact time, but I’m not sure why you’d need it.</p>
