Hey, for my Dec 31 and Jan 1 deadline apps, is it safe to drop them off at the post office on the days they are due? Will they get postmarked correctly, or will I be screwed because its a holiday?

I was wodering this too, but then I thought about how it has to happen every year and I assume that the colleges don't care as long as they're postmarked by the 2nd or 3rd...but it's really just a guess!

im not sure... if its possible, i'd try to get them at laest a day before the postmark date so u dont hav the risk of any mixups or anything weird happening at the post office

why would you risk doing something like that? might as well just finish it and post it earlier if you ask me...

The 31st is a Saturday (many post offices close early) and the 1st is a Sunday & Holiday (no post offices are open). So, it really seems if you're submitting it by snail mail Saturday morning is your cutoff.

submit online and problem solved

wat abt. transcripts and other materials from GC and teachers....is it OK if they are postmarked by 2nd or 3rd!
