Hi, I hope someone could help me.

I am a rising senior and during the summer I decided to take 4 college class. Out of those 4 class I had the same teacher twice. He was my English teacher. I want to ask him for a recommendation for college. I have not decide on a college yet, but I wanted to ask him soon because I might not see him again when the summer end . How should I approach him and what should I give him?

I got an A in class and still have the graded papers.

I am clueless about asking for recommendation letter.

Just straight up ask him. If he is really willing, he would give you his email and or number to stay in contact.

Typically, colleges ask for recs form a high school teacher. Typically, college profs don’t have experience in the format and details to provide- and, can’t speak to anything about you except your performance in that class. So, I hope any rec from a summer school prof is just an extra.

I just thought that having a recommendation from a college prof would be better than a high school teacher. :/

Not better. Not what most colleges state they want.

It does not say that "Not what most colleges state they want. "

P.S my high school does block schedule and I usually only know my high school teacher for 2 9 weeks.

You go to the colleges’ own sites and see what they ask for. The block question is one your GC can probably advise on. Many kids do have a teacher for repeat classes, over time. Good luck.
