question about reed supplements?

So, I'm doing the final touches to my application (i'm such a procrastinator!), & this may sound ridiculous, but is a junior year paper "recent" enough for the writing sample?

Also, for the "Why Reed?" essay, is about a page in length acceptable? Or is that too long?

Junior year I’d say is pushing it just a tad, but I suppose it depends on where in your junior year. If it’s from the beginning, I say don’t submit it, but if it’s from May or June, then go for it.

Double spaced? If yes, it actually seems a little short. If not, double space it, and it should be ok. I personally wrote 3 pages double spaced.

Thanks for the response!
Now I’m worried because I’ve only written 2 papers senior year. One of which hasn’t been graded & probably won’t be until after the deadline, and the other I got a good grade but really is not something I would send it.

I have a paper from March my junior year that is much stronger, and I talked about it during my interview. I know that’s really pushing it, but it’s much better quality and it’s graded by one of the teachers I am getting my recommendations from. Any advice? :</p>

Well, March is almost a year ago…E-mail this question to an admissions officer, and see what they say.

Yeah, i’ll try that. :\ Thanks for your help though!
