Question about reporting test scores?

This has probably been answered many times, but we are still confused! My senior has taken several APs and SAT IIs.
What does it mean to self report? Do you need to follow up with an actual score report, or does admissions just take the self report on faith? Also, is it better to report all of your scores or only scores you are most proud of? for example, my son has some 5s, 4s, and 3s on APs. And on SATs he has some over 700 and some in the mid 600s. (He had As in all of the classes.). Any advice? Thanks!

Oops. Rest scores should be test scores!

Self-report any AP exam he has taken that would get him credit or advanced placement at W&M, and any SAT-II that shows he knows the material (probably anything over 650, certainly anything over 700). These do not require official score reports for admissions purposes, so save your money for a bit. Admissions takes it on your honor, but of course you must be honest - an admission offer can be rescinded if they can show you falsified your application.

If he matriculates at W&M he will need to send in official AP test results to get the credit, I believe before registering for his first semester classes. Each department determines what credit will be awarded, if any, for tests in their subject.
