Question about SAT II Bio

I was wondering how much about the 5 kingdoms I need to memorize for the test. Do we need to know the various phyla of each kingdom? or is background info enough?

I'm using Cliff's AP Bio study to prep right now... and it has a lot of details about each kingdom... should I memorize them all?

Also, is there a book which does a particularly good job with the 5 kingdoms, or is Cliff's my best bet?

Thanks.

I made a 760 on Bio: E.

You really only need to know the basic characteristics that are associated with each kingdom member.

Princeton Review books are good, especailly for practice tests

I think you need to know the major plant phylums and the phylogeny of the kingdom plantae. So know byrophytes->pteridophytes->gymosperms->angiosperms. And know some of the phyla in each like coniferaphyta for gymnosperms. Then the angiosperm classes dicot and monocot.

Then you should know ascomycota and basidiomycota for fungi. For protists you should know apicomplexa aka sporozoa, rizopoda, and euglenaphyta atleast.

For animals, you should know porifera, mollusca, arthropoda, chordata, echinoderma, annelids, platyhelminth, and nematods. Know the classes of the vertebrae subphylum of phylum chordata and its phylogeny.
