If your junior is registering for a first time SAT, is there any reason he/she would/would not want to send the four free score reports that are included in the registration fee?

I wish I'd sent my SAT I scores to my safeties- since most lower tier schools don't require SAT IIs, you might as well have SAT Is sent now and not have to pay for it later.

Definately send! Both kids made that mistake....I guess I didn't learn soon enough. Those 7 dollar reports start adding up. Especially when you send them all, and then your kid doesn't even apply to the school!

If your student will be taking the SAT again or will be taking the SAT-II, then you might as well wait, since all scores will be recorded.

Marite - another good post :) totally forgot about the fact that you will probably have to send the scores again....ok so I don't feel so bad now that I wasted all those $7.00 reports

You can send them to your safeties ahead of time.

Also you can do this : if a college requires only SAT, you can send them your SAT report. And if you decide to retake the SAT and do not send your scores immediately, you can see if you did worse or better and decide then to send. Though you would be wasting money just the same by this method
