Question about SAT Subject Tests

Im wondering, is it ok if I dont take any subject tests (Im planning to apply to the more prestigious universities), since Im taking AP Tests? Im planning to finish high school with 8 AP tests passed, and by the end of the junior year, 4 ap tests passed. Do you think its necessary to take them?

thanks a lot

If the schools you're applying to don't specifically require them, then it's not really so important, I'd say, but if you took one or two and did well on them, it can only help.

If you're taking the AP test why not take the SAT II equivalent? For example, if you take AP US this May take the US History Subject Test in June. Also, know that you will be at a disadvantage since most applicants to selective colleges take subject tests.

You cannot substitute AP tests for SAT IIs. If SAT IIs are required, you must take them. Period.

"the more prestigious universities" will want them. Take them when you take the AP class.
