I was accepted ED to Tisch and I'm really excited (it was my first choice!) I also got my financial aid information and, while I did get a nice scholarship, I still have a large amount that I have to come up with on my own. I've been working on outside scholarships but, of course, they're no guarantee. Is there any chance that, between now and the beginning of my freshman year this fall, I'll end up getting any more scholarships or financial aid from NYU or Tisch than I've already received?

In other words, is it possible I'll get any nice surprises?

Unfourtunately probably not. I was at NYU yesterday and they informed us that they're strapped for cash and you're probably lucky with what you got.

Yeah. Unfortunately, NYU just lost $25 million in the Madoff scandal. Unfortunately, I think it is going to be tough to find good scholarships now because the economy is doing so poorly. Good Luck!

Appeal! I can't stress that enough, so many people don't know that you can appeal your financial aid package and while not much is changed they usually bump you up a couple of grand, and rarely if ever have I heard of someone losing money.
