I know this question has been raised over and over again. But recently what my college counselor said really make me doubt about it.She told me not to self study AP and take the exams since the admissions office won't even look at it until you get in.and even though you get in you still need to take those AP courses in high school plus the good score to eliminate those intro courses in college. Is that true?If it's true, then why there are so many AP self study students?
Will AP scores without taking courses(because school doesnt supply those) enhance ur chance to get into colleges?

Thanks!
