question about shuttle service

hi i have a job that is behind the science library, in the labs. which line shuttle should i take tha twill take me from campus or vdc norte to science library? thanks

if you are in VDCN:

ride a skateboard to the main campus (green) bus at the intersection of arroyo dr and california. (4 min)
wait at the bus stop (4 min)
the green bus will drop you off at campus village (7 min)
jaywalk and walk to the medsci labs (5 min)

Time to get there? 20 minutes.

from the flagpoles, u can take the main campus (green) bus, it’ll take about 13 min probably if you exclude the wait time.

I don’t advise u take VDCN bus to flagpoles then green bus to medsci because of long wait times for green bus.

It will suck if you dont have a good way to get to the arroyo dr green bus stop, as your walk will be 10 minutes or so, depending on where in VDCN you are

cheers

is there a way to look at it online since the shuttle’s website is showing summer session bus lines. just so i dont’ get confused, the yellow line is the flag pole bus right. i do have a bike but i don’t want to put it on the shuttle.

I am confused. I read on a UCI site that UCI students can ride free on the OCTA, but on the OCTA site, there is a University Pass program that costs $95 for one year (unlimited rides on OCTA). Which one is correct? Is there a difference in the programs?

kevinf: i dont think so. yellow is AV to flagpoles. now that i think of it, vdcn can take the av bus if u are close enough to walk to the second AV bus stop (1-2 min walk). Then from flagpoles u might be able to take the green bus. I still think going down to cali and arroyo is the best way though.

icu: i think they took that free bus thing out. that is what my friend said.

but is there anywhere near the california and arroyo bus stop where i can lock my bike because i would rather not take it on the bus. how long does it take to bike from vdcn all the way to the science library then

wait and uci students can’t ride the octa for free now?

Looks like it:

[UC Irvine OCTA bus pass = $95/year | TransitRiderOC](http://www.transitrideroc.com/2009/07/uc-irvine-octa-bus-pass-95year)

why dont you put your bike on the rack on the bus

u might be able to lock it near the infant toddler center, prob not though.

its a ***** to bike from vdcn to sci lib, all uphill riding so it depends on how pro you are. 12 min if you’re fast? maybe more than 15?

This is the site for the shuttles. Right now its on summer service so the routes for VDC/N are the only ones showing. However towards the fall you can see the actual academic year routes and the bus times and since the busses have GPS, you can see when the next one is coming!
