if i decline a school, and after june 1st decide i want to go to the decline school, what process needs to be taken to get the admission back?

also, what if i don't send a yes/no...after june 1st, if i still want to go to that school, what process needs to be taken to get the admission back?

I don’t think you can accept their admission offer after you decline them…and as far as not sending a yes/no but decide to accept their offer after June 1, you should call them to see what needs to be done. But do this before June 1, don’t wait until after.

If you have declined them but decide after all to attend, give admissions a call/e-mail. They say if you change your mind to quickly contact them. As I was saying in another thread, it’s better that you decline them rather than not doing anything at all so they can see you somewhat took into consideration their school!

I’m not sure about the June 1st though…if you have a good excuse then maybe.

Do we have to decline the offer or can we just accept some other school’s offer and not do anything for the other schools?

What I’m saying is, I send in my SIR already, do I have to officially decline the other schools that admitted me or can I just ignore it basically?

If you submitted your SIR to another school and obviously are not interested in the other schools, yeah you can ignore them, that’s fine. Once it’s past the deadline, you won’t have anything to worry about. (They’ll take it as a no, lol). [:

Ahh, okay. I send in my SIR to Cal a while ago but I logged into my Davis and Santa Cruz pages yesterday and I saw I had the option for Davis to decline the offer. I wasn’t sure if I had to do anything with it. Apparently I already declined Santa Cruz but I had no recollections of it…

so should i decline or not decline in case i want to go to that school (assuming that i sir’d another school) and change mind…this is b/c of fin aid status that is still not clear yet, and change of major…
thx
