Question About Spanish Placement related to Commerce

Hi All,

I did not take a foreign language placement explain and therefore cannot enroll in a foreign language class? (or is this only for french & spanish) However I was planning to apply to Mcintire but they require a foreign language either first or second year. My question is, did i just screw up my application to the comm school?
Thx in advance

edit:

Is it possible for me to take another lang. besides span/french to fulfill the prereq? I am interested in chinese but having no prior knowledge of chinese (only know how to speak), im not sure if this is a good idea...

I still havnt attended orientation, in case this information is needed to answer my questions

thanks again

Well, you take the test at orientation. Soooo you still can take the test, or you can take a different language. You can even take some placement tests online. I'm sure all of that info is readily available online or on these forums. It's only been asked about 20934230948023942 times. You're allowed to take whatever language you want. "Languages taught at U.Va. that fulfill the requirement are American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Sanskrit, Spanish, Tibetan or Urdu."
thanks for the answer. When i posted today morning, i was really out of it (long long couple days of work) and for some weird reason, i thought that the only langs. available were spanish and french.
