Question about SSA

Ok, so I applied in mid-late December, and I received my acceptance package about a week ago, and in it was the SSA. Is this automatic consideration for the honors college or did I apply too late for that? After applying, and if I get accepted for the SSA, is there anything else presented to me besides the money?

Your selective scholarship should have a list of scholarships for which you will be considered; it also should have the date the application must be postmarked by. This info is on the page that has a heading called "personal data" near the top of the page.

Also, if you are a minority student, definitely apply for the Hudson Holland Program scholarship:
application process

If anyone is familiar with the Hudson Holland Program, how long do the 4 essays that come with the application have to be? Can they be relatively short (like less than 1 page single-spaced) or what?

Here is the online application. 250 words maximum for each of the four big questions. They recommend applying online.

ok, thank you bthomp1. The reason I ask is because I received the H&H application in the mail, and it made no reference to the word limit.

Yeah, I would use the online app and send it by at least April 1. It's getting kind of late in the scholarship season. Good luck to you.
