Hi, so I'm a freshmen at USC and am thinking about applying to NYU Stern as a transfer. However, the required classes are microeconomics, calculus, expository writing, and introductory accounting. The only one I am currently taking is writing. However, I will have accounting done by next semester. But my questions are more about microeconomics and calculus. I passed out of calculus at USC due to my AP scores, so I cannot take it here. Would this hurt my chances or would they see that I passed out of it at USC which is why I am not taking taking it? Also, I was planning on taking microeconomics at a community college so I could fit in a double major. Could I report this to NYU or would it be better to take it next semester? Hopefully someone will be able to help, thanks!

These all seem like good, non-annoying, questions to ask the admissions office.

Hm, yeah if I don't get an answer here, I'll call tomorrow. Would have sent an email, but couldn't find any email address to contact them at. Does anyone know if there is an email address I could send my question to or is it just writing and/or calling?

i once emailed them , and about the calc they said that they require u to take calc in college and they wont consider ur ap ib or a lvl grades in place of it.

Ugh, thanks som1. Now I have an issue, lol. Guess I'm going to have to contact them since USC won't let me take it here because I passed out. If you don't mind me asking, what was the email address you contacted them at?
