I want to apply to Yale, and they need three, and I have 3 good SAT2 scores (800 in 2C, 740 in Bio M & Physics), but I also have a 640 in Spanish. Will the Spanish affect my paper record much? I'm kinda freakin out right now because I didn't expect to get that on the Spanish exam =/.

that's almost exactly like my situation, actually. i want to apply to yale as well (perhaps ED), and i have an 800 for math IIc, 750 bio, 730 chem, but a 660 spanish. fortunately, i don't think it matters too much at all. as was explained to me by a current yale student, the "unofficial" AOs (the first round) will see all the scores; the "official" AOs (who make the final decisions) will only look at the top 3 scores. but who knows what goes on behind closed doors.

AAH! Everyone's applying to Yale EA! Nobody will have a chance!

grins evilly I'm graduating 2008. Mwahaha. Not the same year as you guys, who are going to bombard Yale with 1337 applications.

it gets worse in 2008, hah.

why (10 char)?

Trend. Historically speaking, it'll be harder each subsequent year for each school.
