I searched through a few old posts but I can't seem to find a straight answer. If you get a likely Tanner Dean scholarship, it says you are NOMINATED for this scholarship.

How do you actually get it? Do they mention it again in your actual acceptance letter or do you automatically get it if you enroll?

Sorry this is kind of dumb, but I kept finding conflicting answers.

you should be able to get some info on this from post posts - my dd was a Tanner Dean scholar - Mr Tanner comes to campus and has a reception with the scholars in the fall. Try searching in Cornell’s website - in the college of A&S - there should be more info there - and congratulations!

Hey, I got it last year. It doesn’t say anything about it on your acceptance letter. You automatically get it if you enroll. Congrats!! PM me if you have any questions!

Thanks for all the answers. :)

Anyhow, if anyone is wondering what happened: I later got a letter along with my official mailed acceptance saying that I had been accepted into the Tanner Dean program. I’m guessing that if you get a likely with the Tanner Dean Scholars thing, then you do automatically get it if you enroll ! Anyways, the financial aid package that Cornell sent me really seals the deal. I’ll be a Cornelian next year :D
