Question about the Joint Program?

can someone describe to me the joint program between occidental and columbia?

This is what I could find:

[Occidental College Catalog 2008-2009 : Cooperative Arrangement with Columbia University School of Law](http://departments.oxy.edu/registrar/catalog/coop_columbia.html)

[Occidental College Catalog 2008-2009 : Combined Plans in Liberal Arts and Engineering](http://departments.oxy.edu/registrar/catalog/combined_plans.html)

is there any joint program that is after 2 years…so like 2 years at oxy and 2 years at columbia finishing ur major!

ha that would be called transferring :P. it’s also what Obama did.

ok…then is it “easier” to transfer to columbia…or is it just as hard from any other school…

if so then how can we find out which are the schools that are easiest to transfer to from school X and shcool Y

columbia has a transfer acceptance rate of around 6%. while coming from occidental will help more than many other lesser colleges, by and large it’s just as difficult coming from oxy.

the joint programs are not the same as transferring. my point was that no joint program would work that way (the exception is a few community colleges that guarantee admission to UCLA/Berkeley with a certain GPA). it’s my impression that the cooperation with columbia allows one to expedite his/her BA + JD degree. the schools have close relationships, but i’m sure there’s no guaranteed admission to columbia law. same goes with most of the joint programs, except the engineering seem to be more integrated with the other colleges (caltech & columbia)
