Question about the mid-year report status

It says "initiated" and has been that way for a while, so I wonder what does it actually mean? Is it like the admission office has already been informed that my mid-year report is on the way or what?

It's almost been a month since the first semester of my school ended, say if the report was sent at the beginning of February, is it normal that it still says "initiated"?

Initiated means they got your application. You are fine. If they did not get your mid-year report, the college will contact you.

"Initiated" means the item has been added to your to-do list. It will be removed when the item has arrived. However, we will contact you (usually by email) if we finish processing documents and still don't have the item.

Thanks for the inputs

Dean J, another question, does UVA accept mid-year report by email?

Applying to U.Va., Admission Information, Undergraduate Admission, U.Va.

I'm a transfer student. I sent in all my required stuff a week or so before the deadline. Transcripts I sent about two weeks before. The other college I applied to got the transcripts but in UVA SIS it says all my items are initiated. What gives? I hope they got them.

Geffrey, keep in mind that they do have a lot of applicants and do not update the system every minute.
They may get your items but may not update the UVA SIS online.
