<p>I want to major in Biochemistry, but I want to fill out this science statement to show that I am interested in science. Can I specify Biochemistry as my intended major and still fill out the sciences statement? I could just say my intended major is Chem, but I would rather answer honestly and say Biochem. The office is closed until after the deadline, so can anyone help me out with this?</p>
<p>It doesn't matter. I'd select Biology and write about biochemistry since the Bio department supervises the biochem major.</p>
<p>Hey, if you want to write the essay and be honest, do just that. I doubt it would hurt you unless your essay sucks.</p>
