question about the suggested books for each AP after reviewing the consolidated list

for stuff like

PR for AP Chem...

there is like a 2009 edition 2010 version... 2008 version...2006-2007 version

1) do these different editions have different practice tests at the back?
2) if so, since they are different editions, are the earlier editions "updated" enough for its different practice tests to be useful?

since the earlier editions are cheaper, and i would have the time to prep, i would be able to make use of the earlier editions if the answers to both above is true.

this not only is for PR,,... what about barron's and its different editions as well?

thanks

Personally, I didn’t like Princeton Review for AP CHEM review. I thought that it was rather choppy. I haven’t had experience with Barron’s, but I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND…

5 Steps to a 5 for AP Chemistry. I found it easy to understand. It presented great info (great supplement to any textbook) as well as good review questions.

I think the practice tests don’t change in different editions

Well, for Chem, they changed the format of the test in 2007 so you just need to get one after that. I don’t think they change very much from year to year. They are almost identical usually.

The only differences are, like I said, pre and post 2007 Chem and 2008 and up for Bio is updated for the new test.

even if you get an old edition Chem, do all the questions (instead of choose 4 or whatever) and you should be fine.

ahhh…

are there similar changes that apply for ap econ/lang/calc bc and/or bio? :)

Bio has been changed.
