i just got my toefl result 102/120. is that a good score ? they say everything above 100 is good but i'm not quite sure about that.
also many colleges say: we encourage but don't require our international students to take TOEFL. Do i have to send my scores to these colleges ? would it look good or bad if i did ?

is your CR score high?
some colleges waive the TOEFL for a CR score of say, 650 and above.

if it isn't specified...i guess it would look better if you sent the score report.

my CR score is 610, not high enough to waive my Toefl. so do i have to send score reports to the schools that do not require (but encourage) Toefl (CalTech , HMC etc.)

it would definitely add value to ur application if you send it, since 102 is a pretty good score.

is 102 really considered a good score. imo since TOEFL is considered an easy test all the " good scores " should be like 110+

if u have studied in a school where english is the medium of teaching u should mention it to them...they might exempt u then

everything above 100 is good
