Question about topic of your choice

I had to write an essay for one college (non-Common app) about one of my passions.
As a whole, the essay detailed several key events in my life (relating to said passion) that stirred personal growth.

I really like my essay, and want to use it on the common app. Should I try to squeeze it in their with topic 1, write it as topic of ur choice, or just ignore it and right a whole new one?
Will i be seen as lazy for not sticking to a designated topic?

You will not (imo) be seen as lazy for using topic of choice.

Use whatever essay is, in your judgment, the most personal, detailed, honest and revealing.

do we have to write what our topic is if we do topic of your choice? or can we just leave it up to the ad comm to discover it

Imo it is a useful discipline to specify a topic in writing. You then have a target to aim for and a standard by which to judge your early drafts.
