Im trying to transfer to uc davis for a major in computer engineering. On assist.org it says i need 4 semesters of calculus based physics. I can’t take the first semester until i have completed the first semester calculus which is what im taking in my 1st semester at ccsf. My question is that is it actually possible to transfer to uc davis in computer engineering in 2 years since i need 4 semesters of physics but i can’t start the first until the second semester after i completed first semester calculus.

I’d recommend asking in the UC Transfer forum.

CCSF - City College of San Francisco?

I’d recommend looking at what Physics classes you would need to take to cover those requirements at nearby CCs. Some CCs cover the same amount of material in less classes. For instance, at DVC (Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill), the Physics for Scientists and Engineers series is composed of only three courses as opposed to four at City College of SF. Taking those three courses will satisfy the Physics 9A-9D series at Davis.

I agree with amsstory.

@danny60 If you’re unwilling to take the 4 semesters at CCSF, (if possible) look at the surrounding community colleges in your area. Some that pop to mind are Colleges in Oakland/Berkeley, Diablo Valley College, College of Marin, and the CC’s in the Peninsula.

I’d recommend looking into College of Marin.

Do you live in the City? I live in Sausalito and I take courses at both CCSF and COM - it works out really well. How do you feel about leaving the Bay Area (and SF!) for Davis? I’m constantly going back and forth between Berkeley and Davis, but in my perspective, Davis has many more positives than Berkeley.

Good luck!

Can someone help look up whether or not I can satisfy the physics requirement at Berkely, that seems to be the only place I can go since my parents don’t have a car.

Also am I allowed to transfer courses I took during the summer semester.

P.S. This is danny60, i just forgot the pw, pretty dumb seeing as how i made the account yesterday lol.

Here is the articulation agreement between Berkeley City College and UC Davis for Computer Engineering:

[ASSIST Report: BERKELEY 10-11 UCD Articulation Agreement by Major](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST).

EDIT For some reason, the link above is for all of the majors at Davis. Just scroll down until you find Computer Engineering.

You’ll have to take 3 semesters of Physics at Berkeley City College.

Hope this helps!
