Im trying to transfer to uc davis for a major in computer engineering. On assist.org it says i need 4 semesters of calculus based physics. I can't take the first semester until i have completed the first semester calculus which is what im taking in my 1st semester at ccsf. My question is that is it actually possible to transfer to uc davis in computer engineering in 2 years since i need 4 semesters of physics but i can't start the first until the second semester after i completed first semester calculus.
The only solution I can come up with is to take courses at different cc's that can satisfy the physics requirement in less time, which I don't want, I rather stay at one campus. Can you guys suggest what I should do?

Also are summer courses transferable?

Summer classes are definitely transferable, unless it’s the summer before transfer, because those don’t. 2 years is totally doable for you, just stay on top of your game, get those A’s and B’s, finish IGETC (if possible). Stay above a 3.2, TAG Davis, and all set!

^ sounds like a similar situation i am in.

just meet with a counselor to discuss the classes you can take at CC then finish the rest at DAVIS. is it normal to complete your lower division classes at cc?

You are theoretically SUPPOSED to finish all your lower div courses at your CC. So when you transfer to a UC, you’ll be doing all upper div classes and graduate in 2 years. In addition, finishing all your pre-reqs gives you a higher chance of being accepted than those that don’t.

For example, would you want someone that has completed a computer class to try to fix your computer or would you want someone that is planning on taking the class?

Not the best example, but it’ll do.

^even in terms of math/sciences where its a bit different than the average degree?

I’m not quite sure, but you can never go wrong doing everything they want right? You wanna keep them UC’s happy!
