Question about transferring and my GPA

I have a question about my GPA and what happens to it if I transfer. Currently I’m a sophomore at the University of Kansas and I’m enrolled in engineering and struggling pretty badly. My grades aren’t great. So my question is if I’m changing my major and attending a community college, is there a way that my GPA won’t follow me there? Or am I going to start off with a horrible GPA and have to work my way out of the hole?

You should ask the community college if they work off your previous college GPA or start fresh.

At the end of the day, those bad grades will still show up when you apply to transfer, but if you show an upward trend in community college it will offset the poor performance.
