I'm a HS senior right now. Unfortunately I slacked off first 3 years (3.3 GPA), wasn't involved, average workload. Senior year I bumped my GPA up to a 3.7, got involved along with taking APs and what not. My SAT scores sunk, I wanted to go to Lehigh University but my scores weren't in there range. I was wondering what my chances are of getting in if I do good in college, I'm probably going to go to Penn State Lehigh Valley. If I get involved and maintain a strong GPA what is the earliest I can apply to transfer and do they still look at SAT scores?

If you mantain a GPA in the 3.5-3.7 range you'll have an excellent shot. If you transfer as a sophmore/junior, your SAT score will not hold as much weight as it did in HS.

Is it possible to take the SATs as a college student? Do colleges accept that?

Some colleges will consider newer post-matriculation SAT scores, but many won't. Check with the appropriate admissions offices first. That said, if you do well in your freshman year, you'll have plenty of opportunity to transfer to other schools you like better. I did that, and my HS record was nothing stunning.

Oh thats good to hear. Where are you going to college now? Also, how soon can I transfer out?
