Question about UC "g" courses

I am going to be taking AP Gov/Econ next year at my school. DOes this fulfill teh G requirement. Other classes I've taken are health, visual arts, span1-3, do any of these fulfill it?

G: College preparatory electives:

one year (two smesters), in addition to those required in "a-f" above, chosen from the following areas: visual and performing arts (non-introductory-level courses), history, social science, English, advanced mathematics, laboratory science and language other than English (a third year in the language used for the "e" requirement or two years of another language).

Your question is awkwardly put... the answer is "yes", but the "g" courses are essentially electives in addition to the requirements "a-f".

See the following link to UC's requirements (and of course, UC's Undergraduate Admissions website is the best and most authoritative information you can get);

im sorry for the confusion ill try making it simple based on this

"(a third year in the language used for the "e" requirement or two years of another language)"

ok I have taken 3 years of Spanish so by doing this and taking visual arts do i fulfill the "e" class requirements the "f" as well as the "g" class requirements.

Yes, I believe that would be the case... the first 2 years of your Spanish would satisfy the "E" Requirement; the Visual Arts class would satisfy the "F" Requirement; and your 3rd year of Spanish would satisfy the "G" Requirement.

See this link for more info. regarding the "G" Requirement (note that this is relatively easy to satisfy if you are on a college prep track, and you have taken 5 or more academic courses per year):

<a href="http://www.ucop.edu/a-gGuide/ag/a-g/elective.html%5B/url%5D">http://www.ucop.edu/a-gGuide/ag/a-g/elective.html</a></p>

To confirm the certification of the H.S. courses you've taken to the A-G Requirements, go to the following website and type in your high school's name, then press "search". Click on the name of your H.S., and you will get a list specific to your high school of the certified courses for each of the A-G Requirements categories.
