(1) UC San Diego is open only to California Community College applicants who are California residents and complete Transfer Admission Guarantee requirements by the end of summer 2009:
o
90 UC transferable units with an overall 3.00 GPA
o
two transferable English composition courses and one transferable math course
o
IGETC

So how exactly does this apply? I currently have 43units 2.95 gpa, I'm taking 9 Units over summer, i need to get 1 A and ad least a B in my other class and my GPA will be over 3.0 at the end of summer, then I will take ad least 8 units (planning ad least 10-14 units) in the fall to complete my 60 units. I've got some of my tag done, but i have been taking mostly my major prereqs listed on assist.org. I've by the end the summer I will have both of my English classes completed. So if i send my app in July, does that mean my gpa has to be over a 3.00 right now and i need to keep it over 3.00 till the end of summer? Lets say my GPA goes over 3.00 at the end of summer, im assuming its too late for tag at that point? So I would have to wait till fall to apply and do the tag. I meet all the UC eligbility requirements, and all the tag requirements except the 3.0, so what happens if my GPA goes to 3.00+ at the end of summer, too late for Winter right?

so if i have a 3.0 (which I have exactly righ now lol) and i have a tag program does that pretty much guarantee me an acceptance into ucsd?

I read for transfers that bio isn’t impacted until 2011…so hypothetically would I be able to get in with a bio major even tho it is impacted for freshmen?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but i don’t think you sign a TAG for UCSD. I believe you just check the box on the application that says UCSD TAG and you’re good to go. I’ve heard that a lot of the Fall 09 transfers did that and never submitted a separate tag app.

You are all missing the point, the OP said he will have 60 units by fall, but the TAG for UCSD Winter 2010 specifically states that a minimum of 60 UC transferable units must be completed the end of summer. Go look it up, OP does not meet the minimum requirements and is unable to fufill the TAG. Am I right? Or am I just not understanding something?
