Question about W, S/NP, and part-time student

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on transferring to a UC from UCR as a junior transfer. I have a general question, last fall I took 13 units and dropped one 5 unit math class because I wasn't doing so well in it and it would've pulled down my GPA. That left me with 9 units, 5 units being S/NP classes because I was part of a biology program and had to take a freshman seminar and a chemistry prep course (so it wasn't my choice to take it S/NP). Since then I have changed my major to anthropology and currently have a 4.0. Do you think that fall quarter will hurt my chances of getting into UCB, UCLA, or any other UCs? I am done with all my major pre-reqs and will also be done with my GEs this year. I also will be re-taking that math class next quarter because I feel more confident about it now. Thanks for any feedback/help!!!

If the course had the required grading of S/NP, then it was out of your hands. You may offer an explanation in the UC application that the course grading policy was S/NP for everyone to clarify for the application evaluators.
