Hi,
This is my first post to this forum, and I was just wondering whether colleges actually consider the SAT writing section. I received my scores for the Dec. 1, 2007 test and they were: Crit reading: 740, Math: 700, Writing: 800. Does the writing score matter though? I must admit I will be sufficiently annoyed if colleges are indifferent to such a good score. Can anyone shed light on this issue? Thank you.

Any thoughts...

Anyone out there...

Not as much. :/ Sorry.

Take a look at this:

The writing section is simply the Old SAT II Writing put into the SAT itself.

Most colleges then that wanted/placed importance on the SAT II Writing thus place the same importance on the writing section of the SAT I, logically. Thus some schools take it to be as important as your math/cr score, while others throw it away because they didnt care about the original SAT II: Writing anyway.

Thus, depends on individual schools
