Question: Applying to Liberal Studies by choice?

<p>Hi, I'm a senior in highschool who is planning to apply as a ED2 applicant for
TISCH film&Tv
I've been reading the common app and just found out about the LSP program in NYU.
I have always wanted to study in paris and this sounds like a great opportunity.
However I've been reading some posts here, and found out that LSP is usually for people who were denied by NYU but were accepted by the LSP program?
I don't get it.. I'm so confused. I thought the LSP was for people who are accepted (like everyone else) but who chose to experience NYU in foreign countries for 2 years ( except fot TISCH which I heard was for only a year, then back to NY campus)
so I don't get it..
Is LSP for people who got denied by NYU and doesn't have a major yet? or is it different for TISCH students who get Accepted to NYU FIRST, THEN CHOOSES TO APPLY FOR LSP for a year for experiences...
Help me guys, I'm confused :(</p>

<p>Oh yeah why are people upset for getting into LSP ( one even pointed out that they were made fun of for being stupid...)</p>

<p>LSP is for kids who get denied by CAS or Steinhardt and accepted into NYU as a whole. They are in LSP for 2 years and then transfer into Steinhardt or CAS. Up until this year, LSP was not a choice on the application so obviously people would be upset to be placed into a program they did not even apply for. If you want to do film/TV, apply to Tisch.</p>
