Anyone know exactly how many quarters' worth of your cumulative GPA colleges take into account when deciding whether you are accepted or not? I know we need to send them grade updates in January but that only covers up to our second fall quarter. What about the following winter and spring quarters? I mean, logically speaking, colleges start notifying us from March till end of April which doesn't really give them time to check out our winter quarter grades so are those grades taken into account when deciding on whether we get admitted or not? Thanks in advance!

well if you are a 2 year transfer then they see your first fall quarter, winter, spring, summer, and fall. so five quarters in all. they dont see your winter and spring quarters, but i think privates like USC might ask for your winter quarter grades if youre borderline.

So getting like straight B’s in your second winter and spring quarters shouldn’t affect one’s chances for admission? Hmm.

well im pretty sure that one of the TAG conditions is that you have to keep on going pretty close with the GPA you applied with…so if you applied with a 3.7 and then u drop to a 3.0 flat would be pretty dramatic.
also, if you plan on going to law school then they look at each and every grade you’ve ever gotten.
so in conclusion, dont get Bs if you can get As.

Ok thanks for the info. I ask because I’m planning on taking some of the higher level calc classes, which I don’t need for my major pre reqs but I may need them if I decide to double major in something else and I don’t know if I can pull off A’s in them. But no I’m not planning on letting my other grades slip by any means.
