ED applicants granted better financial aid package?

i know nyu isnt exactly the most generous institution when it comes to granting financial aid...so my question is: if i'm a student will need a substantial amount of financial aid to attend nyu, will applying ED most likely lead to a better aid package?

(i ask because i've also heard that, since you're obligated to attend under ED, there is no incentive for schools to provide much aid)

what you heard was right imo.

yes because of the peculiar way it does financial aid...only college in the country that gives financial aid preference to ED'ers i believe

great, thanks matt

can anyone else confirm this? maybe provide some concrete statistics?...it would be very much appreciated thanks

funny thing is i actually heard the opposite. early decision gets less...hmmm. if anybody truly knows the answer..please tell us

in every other school ed gets less except for nyu due to the way packages are set up.
