question for high schoolers

I'm in IB so all 6 of my classes are Ib/ap classes.

well in our school, the only REQUIREMENTS are

1 english course
1 humanities course (econ, law or AP Gov)
2 electives (you need 8 electives completed to graduate, some people may not even have to do these two)
2 days of gym/week
that's it.

my schedule
5 real classes, possibly a period of independent study for Physics C, gym, lunch, and muchos study halls :)

Required courses during senior year: Government, Sr SS Elective, full year English course. (In reality de facto requirements go on with one full year of math and one of science, but no foreign languages are required.)

Required to take? One english course senior year, six electives (no free periods allowed)

Normal? Usually a senior here takes about 4/5 core classes (though I did only 3, plus Comp Sci), a study hall, an art and a student aide.

For us, there are 7 class periods but only 5 or 6 meet each day (we have a weird schedule that's not quite like a block schedule but sort of is). Minimum courseload is 5 classes per semester, 3 of them 'academic'. Most seniors will drop 1 or 2 out of the 3 subjects that you can drop (history, science, foreign language). I'm continuing 4 years of everything, with 4 AP's (bio, gov, eng lit, fr), precalc and adv band.

An average senior schedule:

Precalc
English XII
Enviro Science
Economics/Urban Studies
Choir
Ceramics

We can have as many as four free periods per semester senior year and two/semester in sophomore and junior years.

I'm taking 6 AP classes, 3 college classes, and 2 honors + type classes.

AP Calc II/BC
AP Gov
AP Lit
AP Bio
AP Macro Economics
AP Micro Economics
Spanish IV
3 College Tech Classes
Fitness IV (only meaningless class)

Well, that's all; my Senior year will probably be brutal. (Oh, and I have block scheduling)

How many classes a semester...the most someone can take at my school is 8 since we have block scheduling. Also, everyone must be enrolled in at least 5 classes.

I have.. four APs, and then photo and orchestra

I will be taking the following classes next year. Calc and American Problems are offered to take AP tests.

-American Problems College Honors (college credit thru St. Louis University as well as AP)
-Calculus Honors
-Web Design I and II (not sure, but believe dual-credit class with community college)
-College English (dual-credit thru community college)
-Spanish IV Honors
-Advanced Biology Honors

Also I am taking a study hall which will allow me to participate in the school-based Big Brother/Big Sister program with our elementary schools.

in my school you can do 8 classes each half of the year. seniors have to take a full year of gym and half year of civics if they didnt take it as a junior. besides that most take basic subject classes.
